The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Cai got free with Cleto Tavio in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Santo Telmo came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Alpatacal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santo Telmo couldn't finish the play. Teodosio Gelmiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Guilabertus. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teodosio Gelmiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Guilabertus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enrique Naike's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Enrique Naike fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Guilabertus having to interfere. 24 minutes into the game, David Reyes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cleto Tavio. David Reyes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Benigno Enaut hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Roberto Guzman's late challenge caught a Alpatacal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roberto Guzman helped the player get up and apologised. Cleto Tavio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Reyes in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute Enrique Naike shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Guilabertus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roberto Guzman struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Julio Guilabertus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LaTrapanetta. 44 minutes in the game, David Reyes fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cleto Tavio having to interfere. Luis Cai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luis Cai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Cleto Tavio made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Alpatacal's Julio Guilabertus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Naike in the 52nd minute of play. When LaTrapanetta's Enrique Naike in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Cleto Tavio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luis Cai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 86 minutes into the match, LaTrapanetta's Enrique Naike sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Guilabertus narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Teodosio Gelmiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LaTrapanetta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enrique Naike in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Guilabertus saved Alpatacal from getting behind. Despite being the better team, LaTrapanetta failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
