After 3 played minutes Covunco got a freekick which was hit by Benigno Itzaina. 5 minutes into the game, Godofredo Estefan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Covunco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alpatacal the free kick. Godofredo Estefan kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. David Reyes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 9 minutes into the game, Benigno Enaut was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alpatacal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Covunco the free kick. After a rather tough play, Alpatacal's Benigno Enaut got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 12th minute, Honorio Ezkerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute, Nestor Muc sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Covunco's Dario Eliazar didn't even have to move. Dario Eliazar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Cai in the 14th minute of the match. Benigno Itzaina hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. A collision led to Alpatacal getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Santo Telmo hit a great ball. Luis Cai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 22 minutes, Emilio Aznar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Covunco and the Alpatacal players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Covunco's Emilio Aznar got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 26th minute of the match Ceferino Mazuste shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dario Eliazar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 30 minutes of play, Alpatacal's David Reyes made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dario Eliazar was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 33rd minute, Santo Telmo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Astor Dino got free with Julio Guilabertus in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 39 minutes into the match, Covunco's goal looked a bit too open when David Reyes came free, but Dario Eliazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute Luis Cai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Eliazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diego Firmin might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Guilabertus. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diego Firmin ran back to his position shaking his head. 50 minutes into the match, Covunco's goal looked a bit too open when David Reyes came free, but Dario Eliazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Reyes made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Cai got free with Dario Eliazar in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Diego Firmin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Guilabertus having to make a save. Astor Dino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Luis Cai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Covunco's Dario Eliazar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Reyes in the 64th minute of play. Julio Guilabertus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Astor Dino, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. A collision led to Covunco getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Edgard Merexildo hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Cai got free with Dario Eliazar in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Diego Firmin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Alpatacal getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Benigno Enaut hit a great ball. Astor Dino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Julio Guilabertus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Guilabertus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Astor Dino in the 98th minute of play. Julio Guilabertus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Astor Dino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
