The supporters of FC Chicos Tops booed when Pigüé was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiburcio Oihenarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Donato Tancredo kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, FC Chicos Tops's Salvador Rik broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Cecilio Gartzea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Saul Ignazio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cecilio Gartzea in the 46th minute of play.

53 minutes into the match, Pigüé's goal looked a bit too open when Cecilio Gartzea came free, but Saul Ignazio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 57 played minutes FC Chicos Tops got a freekick which was hit by Gogo Oro. After a rather tough play, FC Chicos Tops's Joaquin Arlo got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute Donato Tancredo managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. In the 63rd match minute, FC Chicos Tops was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gogo Oro to maneuver through the defense. Pigüé's Cipriano Frederico got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herminio Nel in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rosendo Ubelteso saved FC Chicos Tops from getting behind. In the 73rd minute, Cecilio Gartzea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Chicos Tops fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After 76 minutes, Cecilio Gartzea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Chicos Tops and the Pigüé players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 92 minutes, Cecilio Gartzea made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. Pigüé's Saul Ignazio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
