The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lorenzo Stephen succeeded in the game's 12th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. The supporters of Cotolengos F.C. booed when Uturango FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustacio Ekaitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Astor Martxot didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Blas Inko went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Clemente Pero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Ekialde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lorenzo Stephen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Pero having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Lorenzo Stephen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Astor Martxot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Blas Inko's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Lorenzo Stephen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Ekialde in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clemente Pero saved Cotolengos F.C. from getting behind. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Lorenzo Stephen sped through Cotolengos F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Clemente Pero. Clemente Pero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenzo Stephen, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Clemente Pero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Stephen in the 41st minute of the match. Severiano Bartoleme hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Blas Inko to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Uturango FC's zone, Blas Inko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Astor Martxot came out of the goal and Blas Inko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 54th match minute, Cotolengos F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Iratzeder to maneuver through the defense. Clemente Pero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Ekialde in the 55th minute of play. Cotolengos F.C.'s Clemente Pero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Cotolengos F.C. from getting a goal against them. Uturango FC's Igor Ekialde got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The goalkeeper, Clemente Pero, was totally fooled by Uturango FC's Cristian Tavio, who 66 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Edgard Quin's late challenge caught a Uturango FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgard Quin helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cotolengos F.C.'s Edgard Quin got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute of the match Cristian Tavio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Clemente Pero skillfully saved the ball. Igor Ekialde might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clemente Pero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Igor Ekialde ran back to his position shaking his head. Lorenzo Stephen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Lorenzo Stephen fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Uturango FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
