The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Lepra Mendocina's Severo Sanchez in the 7th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Cristo Manex was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Classon through an amazing save. Classon's Cristo Manex proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Classon from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niceto Pacifico in the 10th minute of play forced Lepra Mendocina's goalkeeper Efrain Loreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristo Manex made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Apolo Mosen sent off a good shot on target. If Severo Sanchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Classon's goalkeeper Cristo Manex, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emanuel Domiku fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristo Manex having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carmelo Jerardo during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Carmelo Jerardo kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Marco Federigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Daniel Grabiel sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Classon's Cristo Manex didn't even have to move. Apolo Mosen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Cristo Manex tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Apolo Mosen might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristo Manex. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Apolo Mosen ran back to his position shaking his head. Lepra Mendocina's Severo Sanchez was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 35th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When Apolo Mosen came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Lepra Mendocina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Apolo Mosen couldn't finish the play. With his leg Cristo Manex managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Lepra Mendocina's Apolo Mosen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Severo Sanchez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lepra Mendocina were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Classon's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Grabiel took the corner. After taking down the ball on Lepra Mendocina's corner Daniel Grabiel fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cristo Manex quite easily take care of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severo Sanchez in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristo Manex prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Lepra Mendocina booed when Classon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zacarias Vela didn't get a good kick on the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Classon's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Domiku came free, but Cristo Manex reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Severo Sanchez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Cristo Manex was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Apolo Mosen came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Lepra Mendocina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Apolo Mosen couldn't finish the play.
