The supporters of Atletico Rafaela booed when Maza AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Fidensio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Maza AFC's zone, Dionisio Baumar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Belmiro came out of the goal and Dionisio Baumar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victor Bingen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Americo Frederico having to interfere. Victor Bingen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Americo Frederico made a huge save. Edgard Formerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Americo Frederico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dionisio Baumar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute, Edgard Formerio fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Americo Frederico, passed just outside the right post. Victor Bingen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Americo Frederico made a huge save. Americo Frederico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Formerio in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th play minute Victor Bingen came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Americo Frederico. 1-0. Jacinto Toribio hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. If Federico Fraco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dionisio Baumar to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Maza AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abelardo Arixo was slow to take the kick. During this time Atletico Rafaela's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Abelardo Arixo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Maza AFC's Jonas Belmiro did a great save. Victor Bingen struck a weak shot in the 55th minute.
