An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Formerio in the 5th minute of play forced Lepra Mendocina's goalkeeper Efrain Loreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 7 minutes Lepra Mendocina's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Iker Rosalio who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Paolo Locaio managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The supporters of Lepra Mendocina booed when Maza AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paolo Locaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lepra Mendocina's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Iker Rosalio was slow to take the kick. During this time Maza AFC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Maza AFC's corner Iker Rosalio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Efrain Loreto quite easily take care of the ball. Jonas Belmiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severo Sanchez, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Lepra Mendocina's Apolo Mosen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonas Belmiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Venancio Xacintu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 22 minutes, Severo Sanchez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lepra Mendocina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severo Sanchez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Maza AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Federigo came free, but Jonas Belmiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Maza AFC's Jacinto Toribio seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jacinto Toribio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Maza AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jacinto Toribio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 29th minute, one of Maza AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Maza AFC. In the 34th minute, Apolo Mosen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Severo Sanchez took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Jonas Belmiro to make any attempt to save it. If Severo Sanchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Severo Sanchez came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Lepra Mendocina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severo Sanchez couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute, Venancio Xacintu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonas Belmiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Apolo Mosen in the 49th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 55th minute, Severo Sanchez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Maza AFC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Paolo Locaio hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Apolo Mosen put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonas Belmiro. Severo Sanchez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Belmiro having to interfere. Maza AFC's Jonas Belmiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severo Sanchez in the 65th minute of play. Apolo Mosen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Belmiro having to interfere. Apolo Mosen might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonas Belmiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Apolo Mosen ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonas Belmiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Severo Sanchez went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Severo Sanchez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Belmiro having to interfere. Maza AFC's Jonas Belmiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Mosen in the 81st minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Severo Sanchez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonas Belmiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. After a defensive mix-up in Maza AFC's zone, Apolo Mosen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Belmiro came out of the goal and Apolo Mosen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severo Sanchez in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonas Belmiro saved Maza AFC from getting behind. In the 94th minute, Victor Bingen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Lepra Mendocina's zone, Venancio Xacintu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Efrain Loreto came out of the goal and Venancio Xacintu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the Lepra Mendocina players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
