An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Quinton in the 46th minute of play forced Martínez's goalkeeper Bernardo Faron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Santiago Bizi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastian Abar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Progreso Futbol Club's Santiago Bizi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesar Gomez in the 94th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
