The long shot by Abelardo Balesio in the 3rd minute really tested Zeledon Aureo's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Segundo Orixe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lion Force's supporters rose to their feet, but Segundo Orixe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Marcones breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zeledon Aureo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siro Ibar, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Zeledon Aureo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Siro Ibar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Lion Force:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Acostilla FC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 21 minutes, Acostilla FC's Florencio Normando got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Zeledon Aureo. In the 26th minute, one of Lion Force:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lion Force. Zeledon Aureo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siro Ibar, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Siro Ibar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Siro Ibar to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Lion Force defense, Lino Evis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeledon Aureo. The Lion Force fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeledon Aureo should have stopped the shot. Remigio Heriberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Tomás Marcones tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Albano Laurin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Aureo having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lino Evis in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zeledon Aureo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Siro Ibar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Zeledon Aureo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramiro Etxekopar kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. If Lino Evis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lion Force's Ramiro Etxekopar got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Acostilla FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Albano Laurin hit a great ball. Acostilla FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Lion Force for a fine match.
