Martínez's Bernardo Faron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Toli in the 43rd minute of play. Benedicto Neto's late challenge caught a Hermenegildo F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benedicto Neto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th match minute, Martínez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedicto Neto to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastian Abar to make the kick off. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
