After 14 minutes, Alberto Macerio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lion Force and the Villa Urquiza FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th match minute, Lion Force was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Macerio to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Segundo Orixe in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gregorio Enmanuel saved Villa Urquiza FC from getting behind. Remigio Heriberto might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gregorio Enmanuel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Remigio Heriberto ran back to his position shaking his head. When Segundo Orixe came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Lion Force fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Segundo Orixe couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Lion Force booed when Villa Urquiza FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Geleberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Segundo Orixe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lion Force's goalkeeper Zeledon Aureo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 51st minute Hipolito Arnas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Aureo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeledon Aureo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hipolito Arnas in the 56th minute of the match. When Villa Urquiza FC's Hipolito Arnas in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 65th match minute, Villa Urquiza FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Berdoi to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Camilo Geleberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lion Force's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Narciso Efraim in the 73rd minute. Narciso Efraim made a great header on Lion Force's corner, it was just that Villa Urquiza FC's Gregorio Enmanuel managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hipolito Arnas in the 75th minute of play forced Lion Force's goalkeeper Zeledon Aureo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segundo Orixe in the 80th minute of play forced Villa Urquiza FC's goalkeeper Gregorio Enmanuel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serafino Calixto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
