In the 11th match minute, Acostilla FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteve Celipe to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 18 minutes, Albano Laurin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acostilla FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albano Laurin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Mendiolaza's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Evis came free, but Fabricio Gilesindo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Evis in the 22nd minute of play forced Mendiolaza's goalkeeper Fabricio Gilesindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 played minutes, Mendiolaza's Amadeo Isauro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tomás Marcones came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mendiolaza reached it. Tomás Marcones didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 25th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. A collision led to Mendiolaza getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Teofilo Fernandes hit a great ball. Lino Gutxi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomás Marcones read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 49th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lino Gutxi to make the kick off. If Cayetano Piarres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Mendiolaza's Fabricio Gilesindo got control of the ball when Lino Evis tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Acostilla FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
