Santo Evangelio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elias Loiola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elias Loiola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genaro Regis having to interfere. Generoso Bibiano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Genaro Regis. Leonardo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Genaro Regis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santo Evangelio. Evaristo Iigo kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Amador Normando kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Genaro Regis. That made the score 1-0 in the 30 minute of play. Elias Loiola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Elias Loiola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Genaro Regis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Loiola in the 41st minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
