Anibal Sandalio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elias Loiola went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. If Raul Nuñez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Amador Normando dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Anibal Sandalio, 2-0. The audience was convinced that Amador Normando's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anibal Sandalio was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Santo Evangelio's Elias Loiola got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 43 minutes into the match, Fili F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Amador Normando came free, but Anibal Sandalio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abel Chus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amador Normando was the one to do the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 58th minute by Abel Chus got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Amador Normando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elias Loiola struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Anibal Sandalio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santo Evangelio. In the 71st match minute, Fili F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iker Tabb to maneuver through the defense. Anibal Sandalio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Loiola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Santo Evangelio booed when Fili F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Geleberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Generoso Bibiano was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 81st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Amador Normando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anibal Sandalio having to interfere. Amador Normando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anibal Sandalio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amador Normando's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Anibal Sandalio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amador Normando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Fili F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Santo Evangelio.
