Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Horacio Pancho in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Montrel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emanuel Montrel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Oro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 8 played minutes Ensenada FC got a freekick which was hit by Victoriano Orain. After recieving a nice pass, Mercedes AFC's Paulino Furtado tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute of the match, Ambrosio Naelio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Enrique Ted saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ensenada FC's Enrique Ted proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Ensenada FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Ensenada FC's Alberto Gonza got a free kick in the 18th minute. The supporters of Ensenada FC booed when Mercedes AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horacio Hulberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute Ambrosio Naelio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Ted saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Guido Oro sped through Mercedes AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emanuel Montrel. Guido Oro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guido Oro made a kick off. After 57 minutes, Bruno Cebrian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ensenada FC and the Mercedes AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 57th minute, Bruno Cebrian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ambrosio Naelio came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Mercedes AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ambrosio Naelio couldn't finish the play. After having played for 65 minutes, Ambrosio Naelio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mercedes AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ambrosio Naelio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horacio Pancho got free with Emanuel Montrel in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ensenada FC's Guido Oro got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Mercedes AFC's zone, Horacio Pancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Montrel came out of the goal and Horacio Pancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Horacio Pancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Emanuel Montrel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Ambrosio Naelio made a precise shot to the right of Enrique Ted. Ensenada FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ambrosio Naelio in the 89th minute of play forced Ensenada FC's goalkeeper Enrique Ted to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cirilo Gutxi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
