The referee showed Godfredo Giraldo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of V3 Club booed when Club Atletico River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godfredo Giraldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 4 minutes, Arnulfo Tebaldo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. V3 Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnulfo Tebaldo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8th minute Maximino Eufrasio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Lluterio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Club Atletico River Plate's Roque Miliano got control of the ball when Arnulfo Tebaldo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, V3 Club's Albano Maju got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute Godfredo Giraldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Lluterio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roque Miliano was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Marciano Aznaro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marciano Aznaro really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Fabio Lluterio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfredo Giraldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Atletico River Plate's Roque Miliano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atletico River Plate from getting a goal against them. Arnulfo Tebaldo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 40th minute. V3 Club's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Maximino Eufrasio made the kick off in the second half. The goalkeeper, Fabio Lluterio, was totally fooled by Club Atletico River Plate's Lorenzo Chorache, who 54 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Fabio Lluterio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximino Eufrasio in the 57th minute of play. If Marciano Aznaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roque Miliano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Salvadore, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. V3 Club's Fabio Lluterio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save V3 Club from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico River Plate's Donato Napier got a free kick in the 80th minute. Marciano Aznaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Roque Miliano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roque Miliano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marciano Aznaro in the 94th minute of the match. Marciano Aznaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roque Miliano having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the V3 Club players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
