Guaberto Etxatxu started the match with the kick off. Gerli City FC's Carmelo Rodriguez got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Placido Gutierrez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guaberto Etxatxu went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Federico Rubio was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 11 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the game, one of Gerli City FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Maximiliano Gutierrez took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Placido Gutierrez. Placido Gutierrez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Bartolo Txerran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Gerli City FC's goalkeeper Placido Gutierrez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximiliano Gutierrez. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Dalmu in the 33rd minute of play forced Gerli City FC's goalkeeper Placido Gutierrez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luisito Ayala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gerli City FC's Placido Gutierrez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guaberto Etxatxu in the 38th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luisito Ayala stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Dalmu in the 53rd minute of play forced Gerli City FC's goalkeeper Placido Gutierrez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Placido Gutierrez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maximiliano Gutierrez went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Placido Gutierrez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Gutierrez in the 59th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Leonardo Cilio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ovidio Pudes. The goal made the score 4-1. In the 69th minute, Luisito Ayala got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 73rd minute, Maximiliano Gutierrez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Placido Gutierrez was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. In the 79th minute, Adrian Dalmu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luisito Ayala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Ovidio Pudes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Gerli City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Etxatxu came free, but Placido Gutierrez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolo Txerran in the 86th minute of play forced Gerli City FC's goalkeeper Placido Gutierrez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Guaberto Etxatxu made a precise shot to the right of Placido Gutierrez. Gerli City FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. A collision led to Gerli City FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Fausto Honesto hit a great ball. In the 95th minute, Adrian Dalmu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Placido Gutierrez was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. La Mervaleta were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Gerli City FC for a fine match.
