Gabriel Raphael took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roque Bras. Roque Bras dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Robustiano Rocio's late challenge caught a El Mirasol's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robustiano Rocio helped the player get up and apologised. After 13 played minutes Palmira got a freekick which was hit by Robustiano Rocio. 17 minutes into the game, Palmira's Juan Barea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christian Platon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Lisandro Mederi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. El Mirasol's Christian Platon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save El Mirasol from getting a goal against them. After having played for 33 minutes, Iker Iaki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palmira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iker Iaki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christian Platon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iker Iaki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gabriel Raphael might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roque Bras. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriel Raphael ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabriel Raphael during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 36th match minute, El Mirasol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Raphael to maneuver through the defense. Juan Bareas short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Christian Platon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Iker Iaki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Barea kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Juan Barea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 49th minute of the match, but Christian Platon made a huge save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iker Iaki to make the kick off. Juan Barea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Palmira fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Palmira's Juan Barea looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgard Lleir during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edgard Lleir hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Juan Barea hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lisandro Mederi in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roque Bras saved Palmira from getting behind. Christian Platon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Barea in the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute Juan Barea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Platon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lisandro Mederi in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roque Bras saved Palmira from getting behind. El Mirasol's Christian Platon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Barea in the 89th minute of play. Honorato Kismi charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Honorato Kismi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for El Mirasol! El Mirasol:s Christian Platon showed great skill when he stopped Tomás Quintyn:s penalty. If Iker Iaki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Barea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgard Lleir hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lisandro Mederi in the 98th minute of play forced Palmira's goalkeeper Roque Bras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Palmira were the better team. Palmira's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
