Efrain Maureo came out of the goal and Evelio Rojelio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Florentino Ritchie in the 18th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Efrain Maureo kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-1 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Rafael Farias took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julian Fonso. Julian Fonso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After 28 played minutes, Racing Club's Victor Ieltxu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julian Fonso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Racing Club reached it. After having played for 35 minutes, Saturnino Eutor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saturnino Eutor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Saturnino Eutor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Julian Fonso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacobo Tajo during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Argentina's Jacobo Tajo got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Saturnino Eutor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julian Fonso having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Evelio Rojelio made a kick off. Efrain Maureo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evelio Rojelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. If Rafael Farias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Racing Club's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
