Efrain Maureo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Teodor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teobaldo Niva kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes into the game, Matias Teodor cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Efrain Maureo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Tartagal AFC's zone, Saturnino Eutor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Ieltxu came out of the goal and Saturnino Eutor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antonio Niguel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Efrain Maureo having to interfere. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Racing Club's goalkeeper Efrain Maureo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Teobaldo Niva fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Racing Club's protests and gave Teobaldo Niva a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd minute, Teobaldo Niva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
