Spectators: 7259 (Terracing: 5446, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 144) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Iker Iaki made the kick off which started today's match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iker Iaki in the 6th minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Efrain Maureo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Barea was extremely unlucky when he, in the 7th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iker Iaki in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Efrain Maureo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Rafael Farias put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Roque Bras. The supporters of Palmira booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Tono didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Juan Barea came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Palmira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Barea couldn't finish the play. Teobaldo Niva charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teobaldo Niva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Teobaldo Niva got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 25th match minute, Palmira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Barea to maneuver through the defense. Roque Bras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Farias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Palmira's Cristian Medina dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. A collision led to Palmira getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Robustiano Rocio hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the match, Racing Club's Rafael Farias sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roque Bras narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Juan Barea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juan Barea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 42 minutes into the match, Saturnino Eutor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roque Bras. Palmira's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Saturnino Eutor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Saturnino Eutor to strike the kick off in the second half. Palmira's Juan Barea got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iker Iaki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the match, Palmira's Juan Barea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Efrain Maureo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Efrain Maureo came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Palmira's Juan Barea. But to his dismay, Juan Barea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Cristian Medina hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute Saturnino Eutor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Bras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iker Iaki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Efrain Maureo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armando Silvino during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Iker Iaki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Palmira's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
