Urbano Oso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Naldo in the 18th minute of the match. The supporters of Ardiles booed when New Zanzibar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sixto Sauveur didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20thth minute of the game Simon Sayveon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New Zanzibar's Urbano Oso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ardiles's Ambrosio Erramun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Ardiles from getting a goal against them. Simon Sayveon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urbano Oso having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Ildefonso Oskarbi made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, German Mingo made a precise shot to the right of Ambrosio Erramun. Ardiles's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Simon Sayveon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ambrosio Erramun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ildefonso Oskarbi in the 62nd minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, one of New Zanzibar:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Fidel James shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 71st minute, Bruno Urritz fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 72 minutes into the game, Ildefonso Oskarbi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ambrosio Erramun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Ildefonso Oskarbi came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the New Zanzibar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ildefonso Oskarbi couldn't finish the play. New Zanzibar's Ildefonso Oskarbi got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Simon Sayveon in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Urbano Oso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to New Zanzibar getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Oscar Piearres hit a great ball. Bruno Urritz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Urbano Oso having to make a save. Urbano Oso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Sayveon in the 94th minute of play. When Aristides Telo fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ardiles's protests and gave Aristides Telo a yellow card for diving instead. Urbano Oso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Sayveon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. New Zanzibar had won after a very even match.
