The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hugo Lluciano struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Gustavo Peruanton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Candelaria FC. 6 minutes into the match, Mi voto no es positivo's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Polentzi came free, but Gustavo Peruanton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mi voto no es positivo's Gustavo Peruanton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Lluciano in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Fabricio Dominic made a precise shot to the right of Gustavo Peruanton. Mi voto no es positivo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Flavio Selmo's late challenge caught a Candelaria FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flavio Selmo helped the player get up and apologised. Flavio Selmo kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After 14 played minutes, Candelaria FC's Julian Rainerio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gustavo Peruanton came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Candelaria FC reached it. Domingos Polentzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Gustavo Peruanton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustavo Peruanton came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Candelaria FC's Hugo Lluciano. But to his dismay, Hugo Lluciano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Hugo Lluciano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 23 played minutes Mi voto no es positivo got a freekick which was hit by Robustiano Frederik. Gustavo Peruanton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingos Polentzi in the 25th minute of play. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Candelaria FC's goalkeeper Mario Mikolas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 30 minutes, Nunez Nofre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mi voto no es positivo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nunez Nofre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gabriel Iztal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Mi voto no es positivo defense, Hugo Lluciano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gustavo Peruanton. The Mi voto no es positivo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustavo Peruanton should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd minute, Hugo Lluciano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Candelaria FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Gabriel Iztal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mario Mikolas having to make a save. 52 minutes into the match, Candelaria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Iztal came free, but Mario Mikolas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hugo Lluciano to make the kick off. Flavio Selmo kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Nunez Nofre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Mikolas having to interfere. Mario Mikolas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Iztal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the match, Mi voto no es positivo's Gabriel Iztal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mario Mikolas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Domingos Polentzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Gustavo Peruanton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabriel Iztal succeeded in the game's 79th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-4. The audience was convinced that Hugo Lluciano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustavo Peruanton was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Domingos Polentzi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Gustavo Peruanton when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gustavo Peruanton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Lluciano in the 97th minute of the match. In the 98th play minute Domingos Polentzi came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gustavo Peruanton. 1-5. Candelaria FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
