Spectators: 7055 (Terracing: 5400, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gervasio Hug kicked off to start the match. Sapitos's Juan Chinto got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Los Pibes F.C.'s Aquiles Handi threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gervasio Hug, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 5th match minute, Sapitos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edelmiro Beturian to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Gervasio Hug got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Orlando Aballe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Pibes F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Aballe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aquiles Handi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Orlando Aballe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aquiles Handi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gervasio Hug's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Aquiles Handi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gervasio Hug took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aquiles Handi. Aquiles Handi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Los Pibes F.C.'s zone, Marcelino Cayo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Aimar came out of the goal and Marcelino Cayo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gervasio Hug was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 32nd minute. Los Pibes F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Orlando Aballe took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aquiles Handi. Sapitos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ermegildo Bertol kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After having played for 45 minutes, Juan Chinto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sapitos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Chinto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelino Cayo made a kick off. Patricio Lain's late challenge caught a Los Pibes F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patricio Lain helped the player get up and apologised. Patricio Lain kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Marcelino Cayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Fausto Aimar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fausto Aimar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Cayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The supporters of Los Pibes F.C. booed when Sapitos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Lain didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Orlando Aballe in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aquiles Handi saved Sapitos from getting behind. The supporters of Sapitos booed when Los Pibes F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Azubeli didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Los Pibes F.C.'s Geronimo Monte got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 84 minutes into the match, Juan Chinto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fausto Aimar, 2-2. Patricio Lain got his second yellow card in the match during the 87th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Aquiles Handi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Geronimo Monte went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Los Pibes F.C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sapitos for a fine match.
