With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexander Caniggia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alonzo Viviano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Americo Vermudo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Alonzo Viviano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Americo Vermudo, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Alonzo Viviano managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Marroquí's supporters rose to their feet, but Alonzo Viviano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Americo Vermudo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tiburcio Chesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isidoro Llorian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Caniggia having to interfere. After 38 minutes of play El Marroquí's Fausto Ovando was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 38th match minute, El Marroquí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Ovando to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eleuterio Berdaitz in the 41st minute of play forced El Marroquí's goalkeeper Alexander Caniggia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in El Marroquí's zone, Isidoro Llorian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexander Caniggia came out of the goal and Isidoro Llorian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alonzo Viviano made a kick off. After 51 minutes, Placido Bernard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Marroquí and the Naco Viedma FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Placido Bernard kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Naco Viedma FC were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after El Marroquí's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alejandro Bidari took the corner. After having played for 56 minutes, Ovidio Silvanito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Naco Viedma FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ovidio Silvanito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 60th minute Alonzo Viviano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Americo Vermudo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ovidio Silvanito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute, Isidoro Llorian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eleuterio Berdaitz kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After 73 minutes of play, Naco Viedma FC's Ovidio Silvanito made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexander Caniggia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alexander Caniggia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovidio Silvanito, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 2-3 became the score in the 81st minute when Ovidio Silvanito elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 85 minutes into the match, Naco Viedma FC's Ovidio Silvanito sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexander Caniggia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alexander Caniggia made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Isidoro Llorian sent off a good shot on target. 93 minutes into the match, El Marroquí's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidio Silvanito came free, but Alexander Caniggia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Ovidio Silvanito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Naco Viedma FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ovidio Silvanito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
