With his leg Amado Bernal managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Casimiro Arreche Fc's Alfredo Arias fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Casimiro Arreche Fc's Fernan Peter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ermegildo Santo in the 28th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Fernan Fonda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Velez Sarsfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernan Fonda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernan Peter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute, Fernan Fonda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernan Peter was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Fernan Fonda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernan Peter having to interfere. Velez Sarsfield's Amado Bernal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Velez Sarsfield from getting a goal against them. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isidoro Niva to make the kick off. Velez Sarsfield's Amado Bernal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Niva in the 56th minute of play. Fernan Peter stood somewhat misplaced when Fernan Fonda came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 68 minute. Casimiro Arreche Fc's Fernan Peter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Casimiro Arreche Fc from getting a goal against them. If Fernan Fonda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fernan Peter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermegildo Santo, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Nicanor Louis got his second yellow card in the match during the 93rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The Casimiro Arreche Fc fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Velez Sarsfield were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
