Edgard Loren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Candido Boniel made a huge save. 8 minutes into the match, Paulo Moise notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Quilmes A.C's Zeledon Milio. Zeledon Milio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A nice corner shot did that Rosendo Ostadar got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Zeledon Milio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Edgard Loren's late challenge caught a Formosa Premium's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgard Loren helped the player get up and apologised. Edgard Loren hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. A collision led to Quilmes A.C getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Fabio Baumar hit a great ball. Paulo Moise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Milio having to interfere. When Abelardo Carlomagno came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Formosa Premium fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abelardo Carlomagno couldn't finish the play. Edgard Loren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quilmes A.C's Martin Ongile got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Formosa Premium's Candido Boniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Ongile in the 31st minute of play. Candido Boniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Ongile in the 32nd minute of play. Quilmes A.C's attack was well implemented in the 34th minute, but when Martin Ongile was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. 36 minutes into the match, Edgard Loren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Candido Boniel. Formosa Premium's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgard Loren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Moise in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zeledon Milio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martin Ongile was the one to do the kick off. Quilmes A.C's Zeledon Milio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Quilmes A.C from getting a goal against them. If Abelardo Carlomagno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th match minute, Quilmes A.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Loren to maneuver through the defense. Formosa Premium's Abelardo Carlomagno came free and shot a quick shot against goal 64 minutes in the game, fortunately Zeledon Milio had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Quilmes A.C's Zeledon Milio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Quilmes A.C from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Quilmes A.C getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Jorge Urko hit a great ball. Abelardo Carlomagno struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Zeledon Milio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Formosa Premium. Candido Boniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Loren, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Formosa Premium's goalkeeper Candido Boniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 86th minute, Edgard Loren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 89th minute, Martin Ongile left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quilmes A.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. If Paulo Moise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Formosa Premium players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Quilmes A.C.
