Monserrat FC's Urbano Gauargi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquilino Oso in the 6th minute of play. After 10 minutes, German Dantel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monserrat FC and the Independiente players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Monserrat FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. German Dantel hit a great ball. Iker Ugutz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Urbano Gauargi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aquilino Oso went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Urbano Gauargi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquilino Oso in the 17th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Iker Ugutz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Urbano Gauargi was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Independiente's Aquilino Oso got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st minute, Ubaldo Corderro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 26 minutes into the game, Fausto Ofelio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hector Odol. Fausto Ofelio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 30 minutes into the match, Independiente's Iker Ugutz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Urbano Gauargi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when German Dantel came free, but Hector Odol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iker Ugutz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 41st minute Emiliano Petri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urbano Gauargi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Urbano Gauargi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Sal in the 43rd minute of the match. Urbano Gauargi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Petri, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Emiliano Petri made a great header on Independiente's corner, it was just that Monserrat FC's Urbano Gauargi managed to reach the ball for a save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iker Ugutz to make the kick off. In the 88th minute, Iker Ugutz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Independiente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Aquilino Oso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urbano Gauargi having to interfere. Emiliano Petri who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Urbano Gauargi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Independiente's Iker Ugutz got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Independiente played a much better game than Monserrat FC and deserved their victory. The Monserrat FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
