An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Neron in the 8th minute of play forced Pachu FC's goalkeeper Honorato Dayam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute Claudio Sotil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorio Garaona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Barrio Nuevo fc's Lorenzo Walme got a free kick in the 15th minute. Tomas Gorosti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 30 minutes, Ruben Neron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barrio Nuevo fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruben Neron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Honorato Dayam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geronimo Ibar in the 37th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Ruben Neron ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Honorato Dayam was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geronimo Ibar to make the kick off. Geronimo Ibar struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Barrio Nuevo fc's Geronimo Ibar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Honorato Dayam. That made the score 0-2 after 58 minutes of play. Honorato Dayam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geronimo Ibar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lorenzo Walme hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. A collision led to Barrio Nuevo fc getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Agustin Txeru hit a great ball. In the 78th minute, Tomas Gorosti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 79th match minute, Barrio Nuevo fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Walme to maneuver through the defense. 81 minutes into the match, Tomas Gorosti notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Barrio Nuevo fc's Honorio Garaona. Honorio Garaona was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 91st minute, Agustin Txeru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the game, Arturo Loren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pachu FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barrio Nuevo fc the free kick. The Barrio Nuevo fc supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Barrio Nuevo fc would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
