After 14 minutes, Agustin Txeru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barrio Nuevo fc and the Club Atlético SantaPaula players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 39th match minute, Barrio Nuevo fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafino Elixio to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes into the game, Geronimo Ibar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barrio Nuevo fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atlético SantaPaula the free kick. When the match had been going on for 55 minutes, Barrio Nuevo fc's Aureliano Ourente got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Cornelio Abaurre. In the 59th minute, Ruben Neron made a precise shot to the right of Cornelio Abaurre. Club Atlético SantaPaula's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Honorio Garaona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nereo Lando in the 66th minute of play. The supporters of Club Atlético SantaPaula booed when Barrio Nuevo fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aureliano Ourente didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, Nereo Lando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nereo Lando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Osvaldo Gasteiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorio Garaona having to interfere. In the 90th minute Aureliano Ourente suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nestor Atarratze during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Club Atlético SantaPaula getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Nestor Atarratze hit a great ball. If Agustin Txeru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
