Siro Eskuin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee felt a red card was in order, 37 minutes into the game, when Diego Deunoro put in a rough tackle. Guido Maria shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's Baldomero Bieito got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Baldomero Bieito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siro Eskuin in the 48th minute of play forced Reizer FC's goalkeeper Ismael Beliran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Baldomero Bieito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Beliran having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Baldomero Bieito kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ismael Beliran. That made the score 0-2 in the 91 minute of play.
