After 3 minutes, Rodrigo Liberto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Racing Club and the FABRIBOCA JRS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Liberto to maneuver through the defense. Ermegildo Salvator showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Iyan in the 7th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Rodrigo Liberto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racing Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrigo Liberto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisco Mitxaut breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lisandro Iratxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Mitxaut having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Lisandro Iratxo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FABRIBOCA JRS's Francisco Mitxaut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Liberto in the 27th minute of play. Lisandro Iratxo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 36 minutes into the match, FABRIBOCA JRS's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Liberto came free, but Francisco Mitxaut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Daniel Iyan made a precise shot to the right of Ermegildo Salvator. Racing Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Mateo Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FABRIBOCA JRS's supporters rose to their feet, but Mateo Abreu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ermegildo Salvator breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Honorio Dubardo got a free kick in the 46th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mateo Abreu was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Iyan hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the last second Ermegildo Salvator throw himself and got hold of the ball when Mateo Abreu in the 61stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. When Patricio Eguntsenti fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FABRIBOCA JRS's protests and gave Patricio Eguntsenti a yellow card for diving instead. Patricio Eguntsenti hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Mateo Abreu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ermegildo Salvator came out and tried to block the shot, but Mateo Abreu slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 71st minute. After 74 played minutes Mateo Abreu rounded Racing Club's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. If Gavino Estebe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Daniel Iyan came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the FABRIBOCA JRS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Iyan couldn't finish the play. Lisandro Iratxo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute Rodrigo Liberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Mitxaut saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Candido Quintana during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Candido Quintana to maneuver through the defense. Nunez Maurin, 96 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The FABRIBOCA JRS players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
