In the 3rd minute, Arsenio Nisio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Saul Roderigo came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Hipopó fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saul Roderigo couldn't finish the play. If Saul Roderigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Saul Roderigo in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilberto Santiago prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 24 minutes into the match, Hipopó's goal looked a bit too open when Arsenio Nisio came free, but Atilano Egoitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enzo Egun during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 26 played minutes Hipopó got a freekick which was hit by Enzo Egun. After a rather tough play, Ardiles FC's Gaston Atauri got a free kick in the 30th minute. After 31 played minutes, Hipopó's Cayetano Rivero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gilberto Santiago came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hipopó reached it. 34 minutes into the match, Bonifacio Louis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilberto Santiago. Ardiles FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bonifacio Louis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Saul Roderigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Santiago having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Arsenio Nisio made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Hipopó defense, Arsenio Nisio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Atilano Egoitz. The Hipopó fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Atilano Egoitz should have stopped the shot. Teodosio Nabar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Atilano Egoitz. Hipopó's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gustavo Garikoitz might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Atilano Egoitz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustavo Garikoitz ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 73rd minute Arsenio Nisio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atilano Egoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hipopó's Fulgencio Bertran got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Hipopó's goal looked a bit too open when Arsenio Nisio came free, but Atilano Egoitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Gustavo Garikoitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Bonifacio Louis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hipopó's supporters rose to their feet, but Bonifacio Louis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Santiago breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gaston Atauri got his second yellow card in the match during the 80th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Ardiles FC's Gaston Atauri got a free kick in the 81st minute. Gustavo Garikoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Honorato Oxel struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Atilano Egoitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ardiles FC. Gustavo Garikoitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Egoitz having to interfere.
