When Hipolito Deunoro fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gimnsia de Jujuy's protests and gave Hipolito Deunoro a yellow card for diving instead. After 4 played minutes Gimnsia de Jujuy got a freekick which was hit by Hipolito Deunoro. If Guillermo Gines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 7th match minute, Gimnsia de Jujuy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingo Millan to maneuver through the defense. Guillermo Gines could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Leandro Sayvion made a huge save. In the 9th match minute, Pueblo Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pastor Rivero to maneuver through the defense. Pastor Rivero hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. If Guillermo Gines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Gimnsia de Jujuy's zone, Alfredo Gai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leandro Sayvion came out of the goal and Alfredo Gai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gimnsia de Jujuy's Leandro Sayvion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Gai in the 21st minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Hipolito Deunoro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Severo Bero. Pueblo Futbol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hipolito Deunoro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After having played for 32 minutes, Hipolito Deunoro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gimnsia de Jujuy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hipolito Deunoro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guillermo Gines scored 1-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leandro Sayvion, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Gimnsia de Jujuy's Simon Etor got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Leandro Sayvion was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Alfredo Gai capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alfredo Gai really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. After 49 played minutes Alfredo Gai rounded Gimnsia de Jujuy's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Simon Iban was the one to do the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Pueblo Futbol Club's goalkeeper Severo Bero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cleto Theodore. In the 59th minute Simon Iban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Bero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 65 minutes of play, Pueblo Futbol Club's Alfredo Gai made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leandro Sayvion was left in no man's land by his defense there! Severo Bero was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Carolo Heli. In the 73rd minute Guillermo Gines shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Sayvion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute, Alfredo Gai made a precise shot to the right of Leandro Sayvion. Gimnsia de Jujuy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Alfredo Gai managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pueblo Futbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Gai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leandro Sayvion breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Simon Iban came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Gimnsia de Jujuy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Iban couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Simon Iban managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gimnsia de Jujuy's supporters rose to their feet, but Simon Iban was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severo Bero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Simon Iban blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Severo Bero having to make a save. Severo Bero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Iban in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Kinsen in the 92nd minute of play forced Gimnsia de Jujuy's goalkeeper Leandro Sayvion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Gimnsia de Jujuy's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Gai came free, but Leandro Sayvion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Gimnsia de Jujuy defense, Guillermo Gines kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leandro Sayvion. The Gimnsia de Jujuy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leandro Sayvion should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gimnsia de Jujuy players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pueblo Futbol Club.
