With a little luck, ASCO FC's Baltasar Torres got control of the ball when Gustavo Garikoitz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Freddy Raymon might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilberto Santiago. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Freddy Raymon ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 25th minute Jose Oalo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Santiago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Ardiles FC booed when ASCO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Guillelmo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 30th minute, when Ardiles FC's Teodosio Nabar after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Baltasar Torres in ASCO FC's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Gaston Atauri kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Gilberto Santiago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Raymon in the 35th minute of the match. Gustavo Garikoitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 39 minutes, Arsenio Nisio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ardiles FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arsenio Nisio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gaston Atauri kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Baltasar Torres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustavo Garikoitz in the 44th minute. Jose Oalo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 88 minutes, Teodosio Nabar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ardiles FC and the ASCO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Teodosio Nabar kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 95th match minute, Ardiles FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clemente Barros to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the ASCO FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ardiles FC.
