Severo Bero came out of the goal and Gustavo Garikoitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gustavo Garikoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Severo Bero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Pueblo Futbol Club's Gilberto Santiago threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alfredo Gai, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Alfredo Gai made the kick off in the second half. If Arsenio Nisio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arsenio Nisio in the 71st minute of play forced Pueblo Futbol Club's goalkeeper Severo Bero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Arsenio Nisio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ardiles FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arsenio Nisio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severo Bero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ardiles FC's Arsenio Nisio got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arsenio Nisio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Severo Bero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
