Arnaldo Astudillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Rojas having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Acosta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mattew's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Calchaqui FC II the free kick. Wilfredo Acosta hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Adolfo Poz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Orlando Jesco, 1-0. Mattew's Arnaldo Astudillo got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Mattew's zone, Adolfo Poz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Jesco came out of the goal and Adolfo Poz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the match, Mattew's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Poz came free, but Orlando Jesco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Baldomero Lon fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Calchaqui FC II's protests and gave Baldomero Lon a yellow card for diving instead. Baldomero Lon hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arnaldo Astudillo to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolfo Poz in the 51st minute of play forced Mattew's goalkeeper Orlando Jesco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 51 minutes into the match, Adolfo Poz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Orlando Jesco. Mattew's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adolfo Poz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Orlando Jesco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Poz, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Mattew's Orlando Jesco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Poz in the 95th minute of play. Calchaqui FC II were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Mattew for a fine match.
