The supporters of Los Pichus AAF booed when Melville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernan Garci was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eulalio Veto in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cleto Ponce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eulalio Veto hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Jose Corderun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Pichus AAF's goalkeeper Cleto Ponce, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fernan Garci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Honrio in the 25th minute of play. Cleto Ponce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uriel Abancens in the 26th minute of the match. Jose Corderun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Cleto Ponce made a huge save. Fernan Garci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomiro Franco, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eulalio Veto to make the kick off. Los Pichus AAF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eulalio Veto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. In the 66th minute, Gaspar Chepe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Eulalio Veto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cleto Ponce was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. If Eusebio Lano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Los Pichus AAF's goal looked a bit too open when Eulalio Veto came free, but Cleto Ponce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cleto Ponce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Corderun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jose Corderun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Cleto Ponce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melville's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
