Luisito Gaufred fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Niva having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Vanguardia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jacobo Palban fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Gualterio Osoro fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cordona AFC's protests and gave Gualterio Osoro a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cordona AFC's zone, Amadeo Baladi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lisandro Estavan came out of the goal and Amadeo Baladi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Cordona AFC booed when Vanguardia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justo Clodio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Omar Paz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 26th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Gualterio Osoro was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 29 minutes had been played. In the 30th match minute, Cordona AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualterio Osoro to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute, Wilfredo Seber ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lisandro Estavan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Lisandro Estavan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeo Baladi in the 47th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 55 minutes Cordona AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Damian Senio who took care of the corner kick. Damian Senio made a great header on Vanguardia's corner, it was just that Cordona AFC's Lisandro Estavan managed to reach the ball for a save. 61 minutes into the match, Cordona AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeo Baladi came free, but Lisandro Estavan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th match minute, Cordona AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddy Gaufred to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Amadeo Baladi took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Lisandro Estavan to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Cordona AFC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Jacobo Palban hit a great ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amadeo Baladi couldn't finish the play. The Cordona AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Vanguardia's performance. The match ended with a win for Vanguardia.
