A collision led to Pulares getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Ignacio Pelayo hit a great ball. In the 4th match minute, River was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Israel Marquez to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ignacio Pelayo during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 6 played minutes Pulares got a freekick which was hit by Ignacio Pelayo. Devlet Kaplan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th match minute, Pulares was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Araoz to maneuver through the defense. After 15 played minutes, River's Israel Marquez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Miguel Basajaun came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in River reached it. Devlet Kaplan struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Miguel Basajaun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Devlet Kaplan in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miguel Basajaun saved Pulares from getting behind. River's Tadeo Esiquio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Tono in the 26th minute of play. Devlet Kaplans short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Miguel Basajaun to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 37th minute, Devlet Kaplan fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Miguel Basajaun, passed just outside the right post. In the 39th minute, Elvio Giro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Devlet Kaplan succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 46th playminute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Cristo Malvin hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The supporters of Pulares booed when River was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Devlet Kaplan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Devlet Kaplan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eusebio Amor might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miguel Basajaun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eusebio Amor ran back to his position shaking his head. Devlet Kaplan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Basajaun having to make a save. Devlet Kaplan might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miguel Basajaun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Devlet Kaplan ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 70th minute, Cristo Malvin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tadeo Esiquio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Reynaldo Tono sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. River's Devlet Kaplan got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Eusebio Amor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristo Malvin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeo Esiquio having to interfere. River's Devlet Kaplan got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 91 played minutes River got a freekick which was hit by Israel Marquez. Cristo Malvin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Devlet Kaplan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. River were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
