Reynaldo Tono received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Mario Evis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. C. D. y S. M. M. Güemes's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Cristo Malvin 7 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Cristo Malvin took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Mario Evis to make any attempt to save it. Mario Evis made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Reynaldo Tono sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Pulares booed when C. D. y S. M. M. Güemes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvestre Cordearo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute of the match, Cristo Malvin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mario Evis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Abel Bermudo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Basajaun having to interfere. Miguel Basajaun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Etxekopar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristo Malvin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Mario Evis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Malvin in the 32nd minute of play forced C. D. y S. M. M. Güemes's goalkeeper Mario Evis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Ieltxu hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristo Malvin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Cristo Malvin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Mario Evis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 64th minute Ernesto Etxekopar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Basajaun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Pulares getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Reynaldo Tono hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, C. D. y S. M. M. Güemes's Samuel Errolan got a free kick in the 70th minute. Mario Evis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reynaldo Tono's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. After 76 played minutes C. D. y S. M. M. Güemes got a freekick which was hit by Abel Bermudo. The audience was convinced that Cristo Malvin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mario Evis was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. If Abel Bermudo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pulares fans cheered their team off the field, for while C. D. y S. M. M. Güemes had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
