He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in C. D. y S. M. M. Güemes reached it. Mario Evis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonatan Emmanuel, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the match, C. D. y S. M. M. Güemes's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Pirro came free, but Mario Evis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Abel Bermudo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Pirro in the 64th minute of play forced C. D. y S. M. M. Güemes's goalkeeper Mario Evis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andres Ricart hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. When Ernesto Etxekopar came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the C. D. y S. M. M. Güemes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Etxekopar couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute, Freddy Pirro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mario Evis, passed just outside the right post. The Gonnet supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gonnet would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
