Amado Hug received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Tadeo Esiquio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 5 minutes, Guillermo Bilbo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Devlet Kaplan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Devlet Kaplan might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guillermo Bilbo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Devlet Kaplan ran back to his position shaking his head. Modesto Min took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tadeo Esiquio. River's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Devlet Kaplan in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guillermo Bilbo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Guillermo Bilbo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Devlet Kaplan, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Carrera's Guillermo Bilbo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Devlet Kaplan in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Carrera's Pablo Miliano got a free kick in the 21st minute. After 24 played minutes Carrera got a freekick which was hit by Modesto Min. When Ruperto Ebardo fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carrera's protests and gave Ruperto Ebardo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Carrera's Ruperto Ebardo got a free kick in the 29th minute. Devlet Kaplan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Guillermo Bilbo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 39th minute, Devlet Kaplan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44thth minute of the game Devlet Kaplan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carrera's Guillermo Bilbo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eusebio Amor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Guillermo Bilbo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. River's Devlet Kaplan got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

54 minutes into the match, Israel Marquez notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Carrera's Guillermo Bilbo. Guillermo Bilbo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 58th minute, Devlet Kaplan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guillermo Bilbo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 65th minute of the match Lucio Reno shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guillermo Bilbo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Guillermo Bilbo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Devlet Kaplan, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute, Israel Marquez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The River fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. If Devlet Kaplan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Israel Marquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Devlet Kaplan took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guillermo Bilbo. Guillermo Bilbo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. A collision led to River getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Gonzalo Bermund hit a great ball. The supporters of River booed when Carrera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Miliano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guillermo Bilbo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Amor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Devlet Kaplan in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guillermo Bilbo saved Carrera from getting behind. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. River had played much better football throughout.
