Ceballos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonardo Belasko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Eusebio Amor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Matias Matxin charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matias Matxin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th match minute, Ceballos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matias Matxin to maneuver through the defense. Victorio Ostots's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Tadeo Esiquio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 32nd minute Leonardo Belasko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeo Esiquio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victorio Ostots during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ceballos FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Victorio Ostots hit a great ball. Devlet Kaplan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Adrian Quintin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Devlet Kaplan managed to get in a good position for a shot. River's supporters rose to their feet, but Devlet Kaplan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrian Quintin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Silvio Oroitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Eusebio Amor came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the River fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusebio Amor couldn't finish the play. Julian Sandalio's late challenge caught a River's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Julian Sandalio helped the player get up and apologised. After 46 played minutes Ceballos FC got a freekick which was hit by Julian Sandalio. Devlet Kaplan scored 0-1 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adrian Quintin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Devlet Kaplan to strike the kick off in the second half. After 57 minutes, Devlet Kaplan made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Ceballos FC's Adrian Quintin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Devlet Kaplan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adrian Quintin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. After having played for 62 minutes, Israel Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River's supporters crossed their fingers, but Israel Marquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Ceballos FC booed when River was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ceballos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Devlet Kaplan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. If Eusebio Amor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Devlet Kaplan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Adrian Quintin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Israel Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Adrian Quintin managed to avoid a goal in the 96thth minute, when River's Devlet Kaplan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match was over River could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ceballos FC throughout the match.
