The tension between the LaMaquinita and the Versailles FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Versailles FC booed when LaMaquinita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Desiderio Lizar didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Octavio Beti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. LaMaquinita's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Versailles FC the free kick. 12 minutes into the game, one of LaMaquinita:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 14 minutes, Versailles FC's Tomas Cristofor got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Patricio Matteo. After 17 minutes of play, Versailles FC's Pedro Viator made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Patricio Matteo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Patricio Matteo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Viator in the 20th minute. Patricio Matteo had great luck who in the 21stth minute grab hold of the ball when Octavio Beti from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 23rd minute, Gervasio Ipar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute Octavio Beti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Matteo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in LaMaquinita's zone, Octavio Beti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patricio Matteo came out of the goal and Octavio Beti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gervasio Ipar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesus Ramone having to interfere. Mauro Gonzalez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Jesus Ramone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute Desiderio Lizar managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. In the 80th minute, LaMaquinita's Mauro Gonzalez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jesus Ramone. Jesus Ramone yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. In the 96th match minute, LaMaquinita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Desiderio Lizar to maneuver through the defense.
