Francisco Aureo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octavio Beti, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Nicanor Bento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesus Ramone having to interfere. After having played for 26 minutes, Agustin Cefero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustin Cefero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Nicanor Bento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute Pedro Viator shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Aureo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicanor Bento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesus Ramone having to interfere. Alvaro Macerio charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alvaro Macerio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Versailles FC's Alvaro Macerio got a free kick in the 37th minute. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Versailles FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fabricio Vigil was slow to take the kick. During this time Racing Club's players had a chance to rest. 44 minutes into the match, Versailles FC's Octavio Beti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Francisco Aureo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 46 minutes into the game, Martin Che was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Racing Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Versailles FC the free kick. Martin Che kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Agustin Cefero to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of Versailles FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Racing Club:s goal. The referee gave Racing Club a penalty, 53 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fabricio Vigil, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Versailles FC's Jesus Ramone. 1-0. 56 minutes into the game, one of Versailles FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 63rd minute, Agustin Cefero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jesus Ramone was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Agustin Cefero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Nicanor Bento came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Racing Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicanor Bento couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Octavio Beti got free with Francisco Aureo in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Francisco Aureo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavio Beti in the 72nd minute of the match. Francisco Aureo made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Pedro Viator sent off a good shot on target. Nicanor Bento kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. With his leg Francisco Aureo managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Versailles FC's Pedro Viator fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 79 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goalkeeper Francisco Aureo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Viator. If Octavio Beti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustin Cefero in the 88th minute of play forced Versailles FC's goalkeeper Jesus Ramone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Versailles FC's Alvaro Macerio got a free kick in the 91st minute. If Agustin Cefero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
