In the 18th minute Angel Eutropio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingo Sal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domingo Sal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artemio Ganix in the 26th minute of the match. After having played for 29 minutes, Angel Eutropio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Epe FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angel Eutropio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Never Back Down booed when Epe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dionisio Paskal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Never Back Down's Domingo Sal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Ganix in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Angel Eutropio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nereo Javiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingo Sal having to interfere. After 40 minutes of play Never Back Down's Baldomiro Jordy was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 40 played minutes Never Back Down got a freekick which was hit by Baldomiro Jordy. Artemio Ganix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Domingo Sal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Feliciano Onofre made a kick off. Nereo Javiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Domingo Sal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angel Eutropio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
