After 12 minutes, Damian Gaspard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alvariño AFC and the Elena players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee showed Jorge Buinton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Alvariño AFC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Jorge Buinton hit a great ball. Roman Txordon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Ambrosio Nabar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roman Txordon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eustacio Tello hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Saverio Giro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Ambrosio Nabar made a huge save. Roman Txordon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Oscar Ciceron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 minutes of play, Alvariño AFC's Oscar Ciceron made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lino Sotero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Damian Gaspard got his second yellow card in the match during the 27th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Elena booed when Alvariño AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ildefonso Lalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Niceto Bortzaioriz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elena's supporters rose to their feet, but Niceto Bortzaioriz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ambrosio Nabar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ambrosio Nabar made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Niceto Bortzaioriz sent off a good shot on target. 42 minutes into the game, Hilario Karmel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alvariño AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elena the free kick. Niceto Bortzaioriz struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Ambrosio Nabar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Elena.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roman Txordon to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute, Natalio Vargas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 64 minutes into the game, Hilario Karmel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lino Sotero. Hilario Karmel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. 69 minutes into the game, Saverio Giro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Elena's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alvariño AFC the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of Elena:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Alvariño AFC:s goal. Aquiles Pirro struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Lino Sotero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alvariño AFC. Aquiles Pirro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Lino Sotero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Isaac Diagur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The corner led Alvariño AFC's Jorge Buinton to fire away a dangerous shot which Lino Sotero despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Aquiles Pirro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Ciro Gaizko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alvariño AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciro Gaizko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lino Sotero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roman Txordon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ambrosio Nabar having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Alvariño AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
