An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Birila in the 15th minute of play forced Simblanca FC's goalkeeper Iker Luke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Simblanca FC's Ulises Thomas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Basilio Bilbo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Santiago Birila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Iker Luke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had been going on for 28 minutes, Simblanca FC's Herminio Hitz got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Basilio Bilbo. Iker Luke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubaldo Ruisko in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Ubaldo Ruisko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Enzo Iratze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Buchanan AFC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Ildefonso Gamus hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ubaldo Ruisko to make the kick off. Enzo Iratze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Basilio Bilbo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Ulises Thomas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Enzo Iratze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santiago Birila was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 78th minute. Buchanan AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Herminio Hitz charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Herminio Hitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 80th minute, one of Simblanca FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Simblanca FC. Enzo Iratze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Bilbo having to interfere. In the 87th match minute, Buchanan AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Intxixu to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulises Thomas in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Basilio Bilbo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ubaldo Ruisko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Buchanan AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Buchanan AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
