In the 10th minute Ricardo Lain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Bilbo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Darien struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Basilio Bilbo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ElpataFC. Cristobal Dunixi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basilio Bilbo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 38 played minutes ElpataFC got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Koldo. ElpataFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonardo Christobal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Basilio Bilbo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

58 minutes into the game, Santiago Birila was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Buchanan AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ElpataFC the free kick. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Ricardo Lain had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Basilio Bilbo. Buchanan AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricardo Lain was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. When Rigoberto Intxixu fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buchanan AFC's protests and gave Rigoberto Intxixu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of ElpataFC booed when Buchanan AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Intxixu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ismael Enaut came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the ElpataFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ismael Enaut couldn't finish the play. 70 minutes into the match, Ricardo Lain notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Buchanan AFC's Basilio Bilbo. Basilio Bilbo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With his leg Basilio Bilbo managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when ElpataFC's Leonardo Christobal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 78th minute, Leonardo Christobal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Basilio Bilbo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 79th minute, which inside left pole to 0-5. Nicanor Jeraldo charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 84th minute, one of Buchanan AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Buchanan AFC. Cristobal Dunixi shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Ricardo Lain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Basilio Bilbo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ermegildo Llin during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. ElpataFC's Emanuel Darien got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Basilio Bilbo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Lain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute, Leonardo Christobal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Basilio Bilbo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. ElpataFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
